Announcements
(13.01.2020) MATE 420 presentations will take place at classroom 2027.
(25.12.2019) MATE 420 presentations will take place on Thursday, January 16th 2020. We will start at 10:30 am. Presentation duration is 20 minutes/presentation followed by 10 min for Q&A's. Please make sure that all presentations are loaded onto the same computer before we start! The order of presentations is as follows:

(25.12.2019) MATE 420 poster presentations will be on Friday, January 17th 2020. You will be standing in front of your posters in order to explain your project, answer questions etc. Poster presentations will take place in front of the classroom used for the MATE 409/419 presentations.
About
the posters:
Your posters
should be A0-size (841 mm by 1189
mm). The orientation of
the posters
will
be portrait (841 mm in width
and 1189 in height).
Please have
your posters
back supported
so that
they stay
properly on painter
easels.
(25.12.2019) Due date for MATE 420 Final Report submission is Friday, January 17th 2020.
About
the reports:
The format of
your reports
should
be like the
following:
Cover page is standard
as in your summer practice reports.
Page margins: Left
25 mm, Top-Bottom-Right 20
mm.
Font Type: Times New Roman
Font Size:
headings 16 points, subheadings 14 points, text 12 points.
Line spacing: 1.5
lines for text. Spacing after
headings and between paragraphs are 18 points.
Page numbers: at the bottom center
of pages; cover page should not be numbered. Until introduction section, page numbers should
be in Roman numerals. After
that, page numbering should start from 1.
Reports should include the following
sections: Cover page, executive summary, acknowledgements, abstract, table of contents, list of figures, list of tables, main text
(intro, literature survey, experimental, results & discussion, conclusion, etc), appendices, references.
Please submit 2 hardcopies of the final report (1 hardcopy for your supervisor, 1 hardcopy and a softcopy on a CD/DVD for the chairman). Write your name(s), project title and date on the CD/DVD, not on the CD/DVD case. The CD/DVD should also contain your presentation and poster files.
MATE 420 Grading Policy:
Your MATE 420 grade will be based on i) your performance throughout the semester, ii) your Graduation Project Report, iii) your poster and iv) you presentation performance.
Graduation project report and your performance throughout the semester will be evaluated by your advisor (50% weight). Posters and presentations will be evaluated by all faculty members (50% weight).
